The IEEE Standards Board has officially ratified the IEEE 802.11N as a standard with significantly improved data rates and ranges for Wireless LAN communications. See IEE Standards Association for IEEE's announcement on 11 September, 2009.
NETGEAR® wireless products based on the draft 802.11n will comply with this new IEEE standard specification. Furthermore, effective September 30, 2009 when the WiFi Alliance (WFA) programme for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ n is in effect, all NETGEAR products that have achieved Draft 11n certification from the WFA will be Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ n-compliant and will be identified with the following logo:
