RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC)
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive has been passed into law by the European Union (EC). The Directive affects manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). The Directive places strict limits on the used of these materials in products sold in the EC after July 1st, 2006.
NETGEAR, Inc. is currently working with its suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that NETGEAR products will fully comply with the RoHS Directive on a timely basis.
