Gigabit & Fiber Connectivity

The JGS524F unmanaged network switch features 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports, each capable of powering 2000 Mbps of data throughput in full duplex mode and up to 48 Gbps of backplane bandwidth. This gigabit switch also provides two fiber ports** for secure, long distance connections. As fiber connections are far less prone to interference than standard Ethernet cables, communications to the network’s backbone or servers are better protected.

As with all NETGEAR switches, the JGS524F features Auto Uplink™ technology to adjust for straight through or crossover cables, in order to establish the correct connection. The JGS524F unmanaged switch is standards based for easy integration of Ethernet (10 Mbps), Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps).
