Gigabit Connectivity

The GS748T switch is standards based for easy integration of Ethernet (10 Mbps), Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) devices. This smart managed network switch is non-blocking, featuring 48 Gigabit Ethernet Mbps ports, each capable of powering 2000 Mbps of data throughput in full duplex mode. Four hot-swappable Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) GBIC Slots provide private bandwidth for PCs, servers, or hubs, and a secure, long-distance uplink connection. All 48 ports provide automatic speed and duplex sensing, plus Auto Uplink™ technology to adjust for straight-through or crossover cables and make the right connection.

NETGEAR's GS748T Smart Switch offer network management features for the price of an unmanaged switch. These network management features include: The industry standard management protocol SNMP, performance monitoring, port configuration, VLAN for traffic control, port trunking for increased bandwidth, and Class of Service (CoS) for traffic prioritisation.

An intuitive, Web-browser interface offers easy access to the simple Smart Switch management, making it effortless to monitor switch performance, configure ports, even set up port trunks, VLANs, and traffic prioritisation. Alternatively you can use SNMP-based (Simple Network Management Protocol) software, including NETGEAR's own NMS100 software to manage your Smart Switch. Shipped ready for use straight out of the box, the GS748T delivers switching that’s easy to set up and use.
