NETGEAR’s WG511T Wireless USB adapter delivers up to 108 Mbps wireless Internet and network access to either your desktop PC or laptop using 802.11g Super G technology. The WG511T operates at 10x the speed of 802.11b products and capable of easily distributing digital music, streaming video and emailing photos.

The WG511T provides laptop/notebook users with easy wireless connectivity at home, the airport, café or other wireless public hotspot. NETGEAR’s Wireless LAN Manager lets you create profiles that reflect specific WLAN settings for each place you travel to. The WG511T laptop card is particularly ideal for quickly networking remotely based staff when they visit the office, without the time, inconvenience and expense of Ethernet cabling. This wireless connectivity supports office roaming, enabling laptop users to share Broadband Internet access and network resources, wherever they happen to be in the building.

Safe & Secure

NETGEAR’s WG511T provides both WEP and WPA-PSK (WPA-PSK available via firmware upgrade) wireless encryption standards to protect your network from eavesdroppers and bandwidth pinchers. To be ultimately secure you can limit access from your wireless router to designated computers using their unique ID, called a MAC address.

Easy to Use

The WG511T easily slides into the PCMCIA slot on the side or back of your laptop PC. Set-up is made quick and easy with NETGEAR’s Smart Wizard Install assistant: The WG511T selects the best available connection and adapts its settings to match. NETGEAR’s Smart Wizard user interface makes it easy to adjust the settings of your adapter: e.g. adding wireless security settings or scanning for a local wireless network.
