The wide availability of online digital content is changing the way we view movies, listen to our favourite tunes and view precious photos. We may still buy CDs and DVDs, but we can now also download video and music files from popular websites and store them in our computers or MP3 players (e.g. iPods). Connectivity
When combined with a wired or wireless router and either NETGEAR’s new HD PowerLine Adapters or wireless adapters, the EVA700 Digital Entertainer can be located in any room in your house, regardless of where your PCs are located*. NETGEAR recommends that you use our PowerLine Ethernet Adapter Kit (HDXB101) for high quality video and maximum streaming speeds across multiple rooms, as this will deliver much better results than a standard 802.11g wireless (WiFi) network.
Once connected to your home network and your router you will be able to play and steam media files, such as music, video and photos from the Internet or your home PCs through your TV. You can even play files saved on a USB storage device, such as an iPod, USB thumb drive, USB disk and some digital cameras by simply connecting any of these devices to the front USB port on the Digital Entertainer.

The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer is Intel® Viiv™ verified, enabling you to take advantage of Intel’s new platform for digital entertainment. The Digital Entertainer EVA700 supports seamless access to content, applications and services available on Intel® Viiv™ technology-enabled PCs. It also supports access to content on Microsoft® Windows® Media Center PCs through Windows Media Connect, and other universal plug-and-play (UPnP AV) media servers, such as TwonkyVision.

Easy On-Screen Selection
The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer gives you easy, remote control access to access to digital media files on your home network, as well as from popular Internet sites without getting up from the couch. When combined with NETGEAR’s Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter (HDXB101 two-in-one kit and HDX101 standalone, both sold separately), you can use the Digital Entertainer in any room of your home, regardless of where the computer is located. You’ll enjoy excellent quality and stable, consistent video streaming that lets you watch videos for hours without problems.
